Q. I HAVE NEVER BOXED BEFORE AND HAVE NO INTEREST IN FIGHTING OR BOXING. CAN I STILL JOIN THE GYM?
A. YES!  Most of our members are people just like you and have never boxed before; they want to get in great shape, have fun and learn something while doing it. Most of our members have no interest in fighting they just want to get in great shape. They are tired of not getting RESULTS for all the time they put in. Taught by professional boxers with pride on delivering results these classes are the training regime a professional boxer would use to get in shape for a fight. Our goal is to give you a taste and the RESULTS of this kind of training (without making you taste leather in the process). If you are looking to get in Cardio Shape, Develop More Muscle, Lose Weight, and Get Ripped, this is training regime is for you! A results-driven workout . . . never the same class twice, every muscle group worked, tone your arms, sculpt your legs, lose weight and train like a fighter without the fight . . . in just 60 minutes.
   
Q. CAN WOMEN JOIN THE GYM?
A. YES! Our boxing classes are almost 50/50 women to men.
   
Q. DO YOU HAVE WEIGHTS?
A. Yes! Our facility has a full weight training facility with Cybex machines and lots of free weights. We also have elliptical, stationary bikes and treadmills for a great cardio workout
   
Q. WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? DO I NEED SPECIAL SHOES OR GLOVES?
A. Whatever you feel most comfortable working out in - it's not a fashion show - everyone who comes is there to workout hard with intensity. Just bring a towel, water and your friends and we will supply the rest
   
Q. DO I HAVE TO BOX OTHER PEOPLE AT THE GYM.
A.

NO, you will not box with anything other than a 150lb heavy bag. Everyone gets their own bag to workout on.

   
Q. WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY MEMBERSHIP?
A.

Everything, over 40 classes a week use of all free weights, all boxing rings, all cardio equipment….we want you there and we want you to get RESULTS no hidden extras.

A. We have a number of different options that are right for you. One of our Membership Coordinators would be happy to sit down with you and find the best option to suit your needs.

WHAT DO THE CLASSES/WORKOUTS CONSIST OF?

A. The classes are all full body workouts that consist of all interval, strength & plyometric (explosive) intense training exercises. They are also all taught by top pro-fighters &/or pro-fight trainers

HOW WILL I KNOW WHAT TO DO IN MY FIRST CLASS?

A. You won't be lost in classes as a new member at UBF… We will teach you how to correctly wrap your hands, how to throw punches, how to stand, and basic footwork and maximize your workout so you will want to come back for more and get RESULTS

CAN I GET PRIVATE INSTRUCTION?

Yes, our trainers can be hired for private instruction, please see our membership coordinators for rates

   
Q. HOW LONG ARE THE CLASSES?
A. They are all 60 minute-full-bodied workouts.
   
Q. WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
A.

The 1st time you try the class, we’ll loan you everything (just call to sign-up and come 15 minutes early). When you sign-up you will need to get gloves and hand wraps (for protection under the gloves). You can purchase everything here if you’d like.

I WANT TO GET IN GREAT SHAPE BUT NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT FIRST IS THIS GYM RIGHT FOR ME?

A. Absolutely. Everyone who joins and takes our classes will see results. You will find probably for the first time in your life you have fun and get RESULTS at the same time. Remember we are a RESULTS driven facility.

CAN I LEARN TO BOX OR KICKBOX?

A. Yes!  We have special Boxing and kickboxing technique classes available included in your membership. We want you to get in the ultimate shape of your life while learning self-defense taught by professionals.
   
Q. DO PRO-FIGHTERS TRAIN AT UBF?
A.

Yes, All of our instructors are professionals (see instructors). We also have current fighters training there on a daily basis..
